  1. Rockwood farm is not a tourist attraction . It is a private residence in a quiet neighborhood. Parking in the road is illegal and dangerous. There are many better places to go for taking pictures of fall colors.

    1. I definitely recommend my readers to park legally and respect the peaceful neighborhood. Rockwood farm is an inviting B&B with stunning fall colors. If you know better places for Fall photography we’d love to hear from you 🙂

  2. Hello Deepti,
My name is Vishrut. I am from Philadelphia,PA area. I am planning to visit Washington state for fall photography. I am interested to photograph the famous Rockwood farm driveway. Is it a private property? Do I need permission to take pics of the farm? Where is this place located exactly? Is there any place for lodging near by? I highly appreciate your feedback. Thank you, Vishrut

    1. Hi Vishrut,

When we visited, Rockwood farm was a tucked away AirBnB, so technically thats the closest accommodation. Its also not too far from Seattle, a mere 45 min drive. We saw many photography enthusiasts clicking the driveway from outside it’s huge gate. You could call them up to enquire about a formal photoshoot if thats your requirement. Its located in the NorthBend area, GPS will easily help you navigate to the place, Hope this helps and you have a great time in WA !

    1. Like I said both are gorgeous but if this is your first time and you really need to pick between the two, then I’d say Leavenworth. Have a great trip Divya !

    1. Divya, I would suggest Leavenworth if you are going tomorrow, the drive past North Cascades Hwy 2 has some gorgeous fall colors and lots to see and do near Wenatchee and Leavenworth too.
